NICTER Project X/Twitter Content Policy

The official account operated by the Cybersecurity Research Laboratory, NICTER Analysis Team (@nicter_jp), shares information to help the public better understand cybersecurity issues. Our goal is to provide valuable insights from a neutral, research-focused perspective, following the guidelines outlined below.

1. Reducing Risks for Impacted Users as a Priority

When a cyberattack is confirmed, we’ll share relevant information to support mitigation efforts, with a focus on reducing risks for affected users

2. Ensuring Transparency

Information will be shared transparently, based on clear evidence like observed data and verification results.

3.Timely Response

In the event of confirmed risks, information will be promptly shared to support timely responses from relevant parties.

4. Socially Responsible Disclosure

Prior notification to vendors will be attempted whenever possible; however, regardless of vendor response or feedback, information disclosure will be determined with priority on social benefits.

5. Protecting Privacy and Confidential Information

We’ll safeguard personal and confidential information and only disclose it when appropriate.
